Continuing the journey

At the beginning of the year we reached the three year mark in the Greenhouse journey, and we took a peek at our numbers.

To say they were encouraging was an understatement! We are now working with 20 dioceses and there are 14 learning communities already set up, with more in the pipeline. There are 98 teams involved, 49 of which are new initiatives. People are learning from the wisdom of the fresh expressions movement and able to start or grow their ideas into reality, together.

As a national team we can sense the momentum and are busy making sure teams and facilitators have all the resources they need to continue on the Greenhouse journey - we now have a really good sense of what people need so the next few months will be focussed on producing more resources for you all. It’s an exciting time in the project.

So although many of you will have heard that I am moving onto a new role outside of Greenhouse, I can assure you that the team are carrying on in this next phase of the project, as you all continue to learn together how best to cultivate fresh expressions of church in your parishes and deaneries.
