Not attending a funeral is a very difficult experience for people, in spite of recent suggestions that ‘no fuss’ is a good idea. The reality is many will feel additional grief, especially if they could not say goodbye properly. Let people know the date and time to use it, so they know others will be doing the same. It won’t ever replace the comfort of actually being there, but it may go some way to help mourners feel connected.
