Shared Outcomes Framework: Number of new worshipping communities

Learn about this outcome area, its definition, indicators, guidance and the tools available

THE NUMBER OF NEW WORSHIPPING COMMUNITIES is one of the outcome areas of the Shared Outcomes Framework. It counts the number of newly started new worshipping communities from a project.

Definition guidance

The guidance document below explains the definition of the outcome, the indicator(s) for measuring it and some basics around its use.

Further guidance

The guidance document below builds on the definition guidance with further details of interpreting the outcome definition and some advice for measuring in practice.

Tools

There are plans to develop a platform for helping churches and dioceses with measuring the Shared Outcomes Framework indicators; however, that will take some time. In the meantime, here is an excel spreadsheet that has been developed to support dioceses to log New Worshiping Communities and other similar mission initiatives, if desired. It will only count those for reporting that are specifically indicated as meeting the definition and having newly started (or newly met the definition of NWC for the first time).
