Ministry Experience Schemes starting in September now open to enquries

Twenty dioceses are looking to run the Ministry Experience Scheme and Future Youth from September 2026.
Their schemes are now recruiting and open to enquiries. If you know of anyone (aged 18-29) who would benefit from a year out exploring their call and sense of vocation please direct them towards the national webpages in the first instance. There is capacity for 150 participants, which would be a record number, so please consider how you can help promote in your sphere of influence.
New funding arrangements for ordinands
A new way of supporting ordinands through training will begin for the academic year 2026-2027. It’s part of a renewed commitment from the Church of England to reducing barriers for those following God’s call to ordained ministry and supporting the well-being of clergy throughout their ministry.

DDOs and TEIs have received details of the new policy plus a Q&A to share with ordinands. More details about the new funding arrangements are available here.
