Younger and more diverse vocations
Discover initiatives, networks and resources that support people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, helping churches and dioceses encourage younger and more diverse vocations.
- Ministry Experience Scheme – A year-long programme giving young adults the opportunity to explore God’s call through ministry, mission and community life. Find out more about the Ministry Experience Scheme.
- Working-class vocations – including the Church of England’s work to address classism and remove barriers to ministry. Find out more about working-class vocations.
- UKME/Global Majority Heritage Vocations – resources like the Ministry Mentor Directory and networks that encourage and support people exploring ordained ministry.
- Disability – guidance on accessibility and inclusion, with support available through diocesan Disability Advisers.
- Deaf vocation and ministry – including the work of Deaf Anglicans Together, which supports deaf people in worship, ministry and mission.
- Peer support networks – including Anglican Minority Ethnic Network (AMEN), the UKME Ordinands & Curates Network, and The Tea House.
