THE NUMBER OF NEW LEADERS is one of the outcome areas of the Shared Outcomes Framework. This area counts the number of people who have for the first time stepped into recognised leadership in a church context through the work of a project.
Definition guidance
The guidance document below explains the definition of the outcome, the indicator(s) for measuring it and some basics around its use.

Tools
There are plans to develop a platform for helping churches and dioceses with measuring the Shared Outcomes Framework indicators; however, that will take some time. In the meantime, here are some temporary tools:
New leaders record – this is a simple spreadsheet to enable projects to record new leaders through the course of the programme. The tool calculates a figure for the indicator and makes provision for sharing the data anonymously.
New leaders demographics record – this is a google forms survey to enable projects to identify the diversity of their leaders. Dioceses need to identify when and how to use this tool in line with GDPR. The survey introduction needs to be edited in line with the diocese’s GDPR policies and processes.
