Small grants available to Northern parishes for improving accessibility

New funding available for parishes to improve their welcome and inclusion of disabled church members and visitors

DID YOU KNOW THAT PARISHES in the twelve northern dioceses are able to apply for small grants to help them make their churches more welcoming and accessible to people who are Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent?

This doesn’t need to be a big complicated project involving architects and faculty conversations! Even small changes, done with thoughtful consultation and a little bit of research, can make all the difference, helping others feel included in your worship services and community.

For example, this might involve making improvements to your signage, so everyone can read and understand it without barriers; or perhaps changing a few elements of your seating arrangements so some can stand up more easily, or sit more comfortably.

There are many possibilities!

Small grants of up to £5000 are available for such projects.

If this sounds interesting, why not find out a little more?
