Safeguarding is an integral part of the mission and ministry of the Church of England. We have robust Codes of Practice, policies and training in place to promote safeguarding as everyone’s responsibility.

Safeguarding e-manual
This Safeguarding e-manual contains the House of Bishops’ Safeguarding Guidance and Safeguarding Code of Practice. Each specific piece of Guidance / Code comprises a Chapter of the e-manual.
National Safeguarding Team’s online learning portal
In addition to training and resources provided by dioceses, the Church of England National Safeguarding Team have a series of practical and theologically informed resources and training you can access here. These resources will equip leaders at all levels in the church to foster a culture and practices of safeguarding for work with children, young people and vulnerable adults. You will need to create an account/login to the portal to access these.
