St Mark’s Sensory Room

A dedicated space which supports children and young people with special educational needs in the church and wider community

AT ST MARK’S, IN THE Diocese of Chelmsford, a sensory room has been created to serve children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in the church and wider community. The sensory room, created in a small rarely used meeting room within the church, has been transformed to become a resource for the community.

This reflects the church’s vision to embody Psalm 139’s recognition that,

“We are all fearfully and wonderfully made,”

And that in 1 Corinthians 12,

“We are all part of one body.”
