“A beacon for the community” – Estates Churches: Cloister Café

Everybody is welcome at the Cloister Café, a safe meeting space for people to be together

WORKING IN PARISHES ON THE edge of the Diocese of York, Stepping Up is a year-long programme of nurture and development for lay people from our Low-Income Communities, to grow in their own faith and discipleship and in confidence for mission. At the end, each person steps up in mission using their gifts and lived experience to share God’s love in their local community.

North Ormesby Trinity Church, Middlesbrough provides a weekly café for all those in the community, which has proved to be a blessing for both those who attend, and those who co-ordinate it.
