Envoy
A small-group coaching resource designed to build lasting habits and equip participants develop ways of evangelism that is applicable to their context
ENVOY HELPS CHRISTIANS GROW CONFIDENCE in sharing their faith through everyday life. On this page, you will find resources and guidance for using Envoy with small groups.
Missional challenge
Many Christians long for their faith to be part of everyday life but are unsure what that looks like in practice. They often believe deeply in Jesus yet find it difficult to recognise how their ordinary conversations, relationships and daily routines can become places where faith is naturally expressed. The opportunity is not simply to help people do more evangelism, but to help them discover that following Jesus in everyday life already gives rise to it.
Missional opportunity
Evangelism does not need to be something Christians fear, but instead can become a natural part of daily life. Coaching in small groups can be an effective way to develop practices that support evangelism and are applicable in everyday life.
Resource
Envoy is a resource to use with small groups (a group size of five is ideal). Participants listen to a 30-minute podcast before their weekly session, followed by a 90-minute group coaching session. Over 19 sessions together, the group forms a coaching community to develop practices that support evangelism.
Impact
To date, over 750 individuals have participated in Envoy. 70% of participants have said their evangelism has increased as a result of participating in Envoy.
“It has helped me to see and hear people I meet, like God sees and hears them. I have become more confident in
sharing my faith stories. I have worked at finding ways to add value to people I meet and it is becoming more natural.”
