For the last six years, Emmanuel Church Bridlington has welcomed the homeless in their community
WORKING IN PARISHES ON THE edge of York Diocese, Stepping Up is a year-long programme of nurture and development for lay people from our Low-Income Communities, to grow in their own faith and discipleship and in confidence for mission. At the end, each person steps up in mission using their gifts and lived experience to share God’s love in their local community.
For the last six years, Emmanuel Church Bridlington has welcomed the homeless in their community. This outreach was all started when Kevin, who is now the chef, walked through the door with nowhere else to go.
