We have recently started giving children a hand-knitted bear at their baptism
One good way in which you can keep in touch with people who you meet through the occasional offices is by sending a regular email newsletter.
To encourage engagement for the children, I take a bag of soft toys that I'll use in my talk eg Woody of Toy Story, or a seal etc
