Christmas 2020

We knew Christmas 2020 was going to be different – and different can still be special.  Here are some practical Covid-safe ideas we heard from different churches which can be adapted for any Christmas.

Christmas 2020 was different for everyone, both practically and emotionally.  There was a need to be imaginative and creative, as we helped people find hope and delight in the story of the Christ child coming into the world.

Churches, whether they were open for worship or not, found new ways to share the Church of England’s Christmas theme that year, ‘Comfort and Joy‘. 

The pages below offer some practical ideas we gathered and which can be adapted according to your own risk assessment over future Christmases. There are a lot of ideas here, so choose one or two things that are achievable in your context.
