March 23rd 2020 was the date when the UK Government asked everyone to stay at home; the first day of the UK-wide Coronavirus lock down. Marie Curie are spearheading a campaign to mark the day every year - to remind all those who have been bereaved that they are not alone and to celebrate the connections between us. Workplaces, community spaces, hospitals, schools, churches, temples and mosques are all invited to be involved.
Here are some resources specially designed by the Church of England for you to use. Please don't forget to add your church to Marie Curie's map of light and to tweet / post using the hashtag #DayofReflection.

God of Love,
As we think about all that has changed,
help us to trust that you are always with us.
As we remember those who have died,
help us to trust they are at peace with you.
As we reach out to others with kindness and care,
may hope shine out in every heart and home.
Amen

You might like to display this poster inside or outside the church - or even in the wider community - to encourage prayer and to let bereaved people know that they are not alone.
There is also a prayer postcard that you could send (or even email) to people who you know are bereaved. The poster and the prayer cards are also available from the Church Print Hub here.
